THE ZINE // BLAST

HOW TO:
A message of:
B.L.A.S.T.
Breathe Like A Star / Transmission
Tragedy has struck in MJ's world. She's just started college, and she's lost contact with the one person she could always trust––again!
She's been left alone to deal with her ultra-conservative father blaming her liberal-activist brother for the downfall of civilization. And her mother, for her part, is just clinging to denial.
With things falling apart at home, and a country and world that seem to suffer from the same problems, there's not much room for hope.
Or is there?
THE HISTORY // MJ Masters The Universe
MJ Masters
Meet:
This project began with an autobiography. Then came the YA novel. Then the Illustrated Diary, which was further distilled into poems and illustrations.
The poems and illustrations sparked a newsletter on Substack:
GROUNDSWELL // Fight like Water
Then tragedy struck in MJ's world. And she started making a zine...using my hands.
And, that's where we are now.

THE WORK // Projects in the MIX!
RIPPLE REBELS
A COMMUNITY of WOMEN––and allies––committed to supporting each other on the path of peace. Training in The Way of The Sacred Warrior.
AUDIO LAB
Named in honor of an incredible Dad, and exceptional audiophile, this is where I hope to share music and audio recordings that come out in the flow. Stay Tuned!

SPARK SESSIONS
Gatherings where we play with found instruments, and make intuitive art to transform into new expressive pieces.
Why focus on
courage and peace?
We are always facing uncertain times.
Life requires courage when we aim to be present and develop compassion and wisdom from whatever we experience. We are tempted into comfort bubbles. We get lost in consumption to distract ourselves from our vulnerabilities. We've built an economic system that exploits this. And a culture committed to reinforcing it. But, we're being taken for a ride too few profit from. True peacework often requires facing our greatest fears. And that's where we are now. What we can do––is to train in the path of peace.
Why now?
The only way forward is together.
Today, the United States is one of many countries facing fundamental choices in the direction we take as a global society, and ultimately, as a planetary system. If we manage to avert dictatorship and fascism, we can't just "go back to" the same insanity of prioritizing profit so we can secure our comfort. We have to learn to practice peace as individuals and invest in building healthy communities that make for a just and equitable society. That is the only path to peace for any of us.
